Rationale

With the growing importance of ICT, students are using computers both at home and school, they are being exposed to a range of multimedia elements which capture their interest and motivate them. Multimedia acts as a hook to keep the students engaged in learning. It also supports co-operative learning where teacher becomes a facilitator and guide instead of taking the central role while teaching.
Multimedia authoring also exposes the students to a rich environment which allows them to explore information and construct knowledge. Multimedia technologies allow users to experience and express information in many ways, including allowing them to interact with this information by creating, or authoring presentations combining images, text, graphics, and video clips and audio.
This unit is an introductory unit to multimedia and students are not required to have prior knowledge of multimedia tools. Future lessons may include teaching use of equipment such as digital cameras and video cameras, teaching them media editing software such as windows movie maker, Adobe Photoshop.

Hey Roopa, really like the look of this. I'm also curious how many lessons you are planning to make this over. Is it going to be one for each objective? Keep up the good work!
